Dorothy Doring Named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Entertainment
Singer, musician and entertainer, Dorothy Doring has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of entertainment.

Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of entertainment.
Doring has 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. A professional singer and jazz musician, she has been using her vocal chords since she was four years old. Doring's styles range from folk to pop, country to rock, rhythm and blues to Latin. She performs regularly in the Twin Cities and appears at select engagements in New Orlean's French Quarter. Doring recently released her new CD, "Southern Exposure," recorded in New Orleans with producer David Torkanowsky. She is involved in musical education, the result of her love of children and the art of teaching. She instructs students in vocal music education at St. Paul Public Schools. The most gratifying aspect of her career is being able to continue learning in her field while still releasing new music.
Doring received her master of arts in education from Saint Mary's University and her bachelor of science in vocal music performance from Morehead State University. She is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa. This year, Doring was invited to participate in the Annual Cabaret Conference held at Yale University. She was the All-Star National Anthem Winner for the state of Louisiana in 2006 and an award nominee for The Minnesota Music Academy Award in 2003.
