Dataline Presents on Federal Cloud Computing at SYS-CON's 2nd International Cloud Computing Conference and Expo 2009 East in New York City
Dataline cloud computing thought leader, Kevin Jackson, will be presenting at SYS-CON's 2nd International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo in New York City this coming March 30-April 1, 2009. Mr. Jackson will present the results of a new survey of government views on cloud computing.
MCLEAN, VA, January 26, 2009 /Networking PR News/ -- Dataline cloud computing thought leader, Kevin Jackson, will be presenting at SYS-CON's 2nd International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo in New York City this coming March 30-April 1, 2009. Mr. Jackson, a former IBM Worldwide Sales Executive, will present the results of a new survey of government views on cloud computing.
During the transition period, members of President Barak Obama's Technology, Innovation and Government Reform Team stated that the shift to cloud computing would represents one of the most important transformations that the Federal government will go through over the next 10 years (http://tinyurl.com/8rjdf6). The U.S. Defense Department's Defense Information System Agency is, in fact, already fielding a cloud computing infrastructure.
In October 2008, through on-line surveys and in-depth interviews, customer requirements and concerns were gathered in order to shed light on cloud computing offerings targeted for Federal government customer. The conference session will compare the results of the earlier effort with a more recent survey, updating the audience on insights, opportunities and trends in this important market segment. Kevin Jackson was recently a guest on the nationally syndicated National Public Radio show "All Things Considered" where he discussed cloud computing and how it could be used by the Obama administration (http://tinyurl.com/989mtj ). Mr. Jackson is also an author and contributor to the SYS-CON Cloud Computing Journal.
