SmartAVI Announces Launch Of New Digital Video Extension Hardware - The DVX-P4
New DVX-P4 Allows Flawless Digital Signal Extension Up To 275 Feet
BURBANK, CA, March 19, 2009 /Networking PR News/ -- SmartAVI, a world-leading innovator in the fields of digital signage, video wall systems and a complete array of A/V extenders, switches and matrixes, has announced the launch of its newest digital signal extension hardware, the DVX-P4.
The SmartAVI DVX-P4 allows digital extension of up to four DVI-I, USB 1.1, stereo audio or RS-232 signals via CAT6 cables to a workstation as far as 275 feet away.
"The DVX-P4 offers system integrators the flexibility they need to set up end user workstations away from the CPUs," said Albert Cohen, CEO of SmartAVI. "This is idea for perhaps film or sound recording editors that work in already-cramped environments, medical technicians that cannot have monitors and/or their CPUs too close to certain pieces of medical equipment, or users in an industrial setting that is not very CPU-friendly, such as factory assembly lines, near water elements or where magnetic fields are in use. Also, in a company environment where security is critical, the CPU can be placed in a protected location, safe from tampering or espionage. The DVX-P4 is a versatile, practical solution for an endless array of workplace logistics."
What makes the SmartAVI DVX-P4 unique is that it is the first product of its kind on the market that allows for multiple signals to be transmitted to a remote location using a single, very compact piece of hardware.
The DVX-P4 transmitter unit is 1U, and rack-mountable.
The DVX-P4 is now available for sale via the company's website (www.smartavi.com) or through the company's global distributors including Ingram Micro, D&H and SYNNEX Corporation, which SmartAVI announced major distribution deals with in Q1 of 2009.
