Carousel Industries to Participate in Government Cloud Readiness Panel Hosted by Technology Association of Georgia
Philip Magnuszewski, Carousel's director of data center technologies, will discuss cloud preparedness, best practices and key technologies
ATLANTA, GA, October 28, 2011 /Networking PR News/ -- Carousel Industries, a leader in data networking and converged communications, announced it will be participating in a panel on "cloud readiness" at the upcoming Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Government Society Meeting. Philip Magnuszewski, director of data center technologies, Carousel Industries, will be participating in the panel that will discuss state and local government preparedness for cloud adoption.
The panel, which will feature cloud computing experts from various businesses, will discuss how government agencies can prepare to move workloads to the cloud and the challenges they will face in doing so. Additionally, security, privacy and cost savings will be discussed.
"As with organizations of all shapes and sizes, state and local government IT departments have to do more with less, and the average IT organization doesn't have the manpower or budget to do what they need to. They're looking to cloud computing solutions to be more efficient, but they have questions related to the ramifications of moving data and applications to the cloud," Magnuszewski said.
Carousel is a trusted provider of networking and converged communications, including cloud infrastructure, within the state and local government space. During the panel, Magnuszewski and the other panelists will discuss government cloud readiness, cloud best practices and the key technologies driving adoption.
The TAG Government Society Meeting about cloud readiness will take place on November 10th, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia.
In his role as director of data center technologies, Magnuszewski is responsible for Carousel's national virtualization and cloud practice. As an industry veteran who has helped clients optimize their technology investments through simplified architectural approaches, Magnuszewski is working with Carousel customers to develop their virtualization and cloud strategies.
